Fix your ceiling fan with the Zing Ear ZE-110 3 wire fan light switch. It activates canopy lamps and ceiling fan lights by gently tugging the attached ball chain. Zing Ear ZE-110 is designed for 3 wire ceiling fans and lighting fixtures, and known as a 3-way switch because it controls fan light and lamps as follows: both lights off, one light on, other light on, both lights on. This 3-way fan light switch is rated for 3 Amp at 250 Volt or 6 Amps at 125 Volts. If there are 2 wires, A 2-wire switch is required.Check wires and make sure to note and write down which color wire from the fan is connected to which wire on existing switch.Strip wires around 1/2 inch.Connect the black wire (L) from the new light switch to wire noted in step 2.Connect the red wire (1) from the new light switch to wire noted in step 2.Connect the blue wire (2) from the new light switch to wire noted in step 2.Secure connection between the wires using wire connectors by twisting them in a clockwise (Connection of wires must be secured, otherwise it may result in fire hazard, electrical shock or serious injury). Notes: Before rewiring any ceiling fan, turn off electrical current at source by switching off circuit breakers.Disconnect the power to the fan before removing the old switch. Make sure to write down the position of all wires that you disconnect in the process of removing the switch. Do not cut wires from old switch, but remove by inserting blade of very small screwdriver next to wire and pulling out. Then insert the tinned wires in the same order as removed into the new switch." (If you cut the wire you will lose the stiff tinned end and make it difficult to insert into the new switch unless you strip and re-tin it again with a soldering iron).WARNING: Failure to disconnect power supply to ceiling fan may result in serious injury or death.
