I got these because I want to be able to read at night without disturbing my husband. I still haven't figured out how to use them for this application, but I've discovered that they are much more practical and easy to use than a phone when it's the middle of the night and I need to get out of bed. My husband loved the idea of a tiny flashlight (which these really can function as) so much, he grabbed four of them to take on cruises. He often gets great deals on interior cabins but they are incredibly dark at night. He can loop one of these on his finger and find the bathroom without walking into too many walls. For that alone, they are worth the purchase.I bought these as stocking stuffers but I am using one and gave one to an older lady I help out some so she would have one at night without turning on an overhead light. She said she is using it and loves it! The batteries are replaceable which is a plus!Nothing special, but made a hit as a stocking stuffer.Not super bright but is so convenient for hotel stays. It fits in a credit card slot in your wallet. It gives enough light that dark adjusted eyes can comfortably see in an otherwise pitch black room.I use this little pocket light if the power goes out. It does not provide a lot of light, but when it's dark and there is no other light, it still keeps you company. I keep one in my wallet too.So I bought two packages of these and out of my 20 count I had 7 not work. I sent it to customer service and they resolved it very quickly! They were great!! For the ones that worked, they were a fun gift for my coworkers, they all thought the lights were different and cool. It is nice to keep in your purse or desk drawer as an alternate source BUT they aren't super bright. They'll give you an ambient light but are by no means a flashlight. I would just say buy knowing it isn't for practical reasons, but more for an interesting gift idea.I am a Clinical Instructor at a major university in Florida. Normally, I would bring in a huge slow cooker full of chili or a nice soup/stew during the semester for my Masters students in clinical practice with me. Due to COVID, that was not possible. I bought 2 sets of these little lights. They were easier to transport than a vat of chili and I could slip them into the student mail-slots easier. I did not tell them how they worked, so they had to work that out. I think they all liked getting something unexpected at the clinic that was not PPE related. The lights worked as promised and were thin enough to fit in a wallet.
